Mid Year Favorites

This mid year favorite post is one that took me way too long to compile. Mostly because for the first half of 2022 I read 197 books. Let that sink in. And so I made a strict rule for myself, you have to pick 10 books for each category/genre. No exceptions. After I made the list of all the 62 five star reads, then I had the difficult task of narrowing it down to 50 or less. Which okay, Lili, you only have to delete 12.

But these were my favorite reads so far…

These were my five star, love these books to pieces okay?? Not so easy. Plus for the middle grade and adult SFF categories, I already had less than 10 – so phew. But that meant for some categories like YA SFF and Contemporary, I had to delete maybe five or six. That’s where it took me forever. I had SO many contemporary favorites because summer was the season of YA contemporary books. So just please enjoy this post because it was painful to make.

Now there won’t be reviews for all of these because some of them haven’t come out yet. I’m in the fortunate and honored position of reading ARCs early. So I can read books that haven’t released yet – or aren’t even releasing this year – but it just means I can’t point you to a full review of all the reasons I love the book!
