Mental Health Bingo + TBR

I am so happy to help promote the Mental Health BookBingo and Challenge for January. To bring awareness to different books featuring mental health representation. I am constantly inspired by Laura () and so I first started actively trying to read more diverse mental health rep because of her recommendations. Let’s talk bingo boards, features, and hosts!

The Hosts:

Jess @kfjblog

Lili @UtopiaMind

Inge @ingeswonderland

Ayah Assem

Laura

Sar

Wendy @whatthelogsaid

The Readathon:

The bingo is a 5×5 grid where you read prompts for at least one line – this can be horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Please post under the #MHBookBingo so we can see your progress and cheer you on! We’ve also got a Twitter for the bingo which is @BingoMh.

The books do not have to be own voices, but they are always encouraged!

There will also be a GROUP READ this year – we will be posting a poll in the next couple of days to decide what book it is going to be!

My TBR

Am I Normal Yet – OCD

Made You Up – YA with MI

Girls at 17 Swann Street – eating disorder

The Princess Saves Herself in This One – poetry with MI

Weight of Sky – POC with MI

I also want to recommend:

Chameleon Moon

Under Rose Tainted Skies

Queens of Geek

History is All You Left Me

Schedule:

We haven’t finalised the schedule yet, but there will be:

  • Author chats
  • Reading sprints
  • Instagram challenges
  • Twitter chats (the first will be on Saturday the 5th of January, time TBC!)

Follow our Twitter for updates!

Credits and Acknowledgements:

Thank you so much to CW for designing this incredible bingo board for the second year in a row, and to Sar for designing the graphics to go on our Twitter page. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to DM us on Twitter, or leave a comment below! We are so excited to be repeating the bingo this year, and can’t wait to see your TBRs.
