Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’d Slay a Lion to Get Early

When I saw this Top Ten Tuesday post I knew I had to write about it. Because come on, I’d slay a lion for SO many books. I probably would die though. If you love the idea of this post, make sure you can participate by checking out the list on That Artsy Reading Girl.

The Books

  1. Kingdom of the Blazing Phoenix by Julie C Dao. I loved the first, Forest of a Thousand Lanterns
  2. Crown of Thunder by Tochi Onyebuchi. Same, I adored Beasts Made of Night
  3. The Storyteller by Traci Chee. I am such a mega fan of the whole series: The Reader and The Speaker
  4. For a Muse of Fire by Heidi Heilig. Having just loved The Girl from Everywhere and The Ship Beyond Time I need to read this book.
  5. Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand.
  6. Rogue Protocol by Martha Wells
  7. The Sisters of the Winter Wood by Rena Rossner
  8. The Boneless Mercies by April Genevieve Tucholke
  9. A Room Away from the Wolves by Nova Ren Suma
  10. A Blade So Black by L.L. McKinney

  1. Yeah the killing a lion bit gave me pause, but only for a minute 🙂 Books are powerful motivators.

I’m really looking forward to Rogue Protocol. All the Murderbot books basically!

  2. I don’t know most of those! I know Legrand by name, and I have Forest of a Thousand Lanterns on my TBR (this reminds me I need to get on that soon), but that’s it. I need to do some investigating, see if I get said TBR list fatter than it already is 😉

This one won’t be out for a while yet, but I need King of Scars in my hands right this minute (even though I’m sure my wish for the MC to be bisexual won’t be realized, but still!!!). I really really want to read Archenemies, the last Kate Daniels book (sniff sniff :'() and Queen of Air and Darkness. Thos are the ones I remember right now.
