With short story collections, it’s always hard to review, but just know if you love swoony and precious romance stories, this is a must read. Williams is able to infuse a “Love Actually” feel to this collection. Revolving around this airport and some Easter Egg connections, there’s a thread throughout. It feels seamless, almost like transitioning from chapter to chapter. Love and Other Flight Delays is a testament to the magic of first impressions, conversations with strangers, and momentary sparks.

Throughout these short stories, we’re able to see the characters evolve and become a piece of our heart. It never feels rushed and the amount of charm and vulnerability Williams can infuse is delightful. We love the romance authors, STEM rivals, and dog lovers. Every time I thought I was reading my favorite of the book, I moved onto the next favorite! For fans of romance stories and love interconnected worlds and characters, this feels almost like three books in one!
