I may be developing a new niche of mystery find the killer x romance books. Kiss, Marry, Kill is this fantastic blend of mystery, thrills, and romance. I have been reading Tanamachi’s books and this was a delightful surprise. Keep reading this book review of Kiss, Marry, Kill for my full thoughts.

Summary

Will she catch feelings … or catch a killer?

True crime podcaster Ella Takeda is a sucker for a good mystery. She has an uncanny knack for pinpointing killers … until she gets it wrong. Turns out that identifying an innocent man as the Canceled Killer—a serial murderer who targets high-profile fraudsters—is cause for immediate backlash.

Now she’s returned to her small Midwest town, but the Canceled Killer may not be done with her yet. Ella has a terrible suspicion she’s his next target … and worse, she might be dating him. Could it be Jude, the sexy, cheese-loving nerd her mom is convinced she’s going to marry? Or Aaron, the hot Chicago detective who’s the walking embodiment of every Swipe Right fantasy? And finally, there’s Mateo—a Hollywood stunt double who’s got allll the right moves.

Trusting guys is hard enough, especially when one wants her dead. Will she be able to unmask the killer before she becomes the next victim?

Review

(Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher. This has not impacted my review which is unbiased and honest.)

Kiss, Marry, Kill had me on my toes the entire time. I loved the mash up between washed up podcaster – who made the wrong guess – and a serial killer who just won’t quit. It gave me the murder vibes of Only Murders in the Building meets a very single and very mingling protagonist. Also Ella is so badass and amazing. I wish I could fight like her! Kiss, Marry, Kill has such a fantastic set up and it’s the beginning of a series! It keeps you guessing and it is so fun! While the romance element isn’t as strong as I was expecting, I was totally carried away by the investigation and the danger.

I would say if you’re looking for about 60% murder mystery – and running for our lives – and 40% romance, Kiss, Marry, Kill is for you! I know this is going in my list of fun romance and mystery mashups! And by the end, I had to clear my schedule so I could read the last 20% in one sitting. There’s plenty of tension with a whole host of side characters which are hilarious and heart warming. Find Kiss, Marry, Kill on Goodreads, Storygraph, Bookshop. org, Blackwells, & Libro. fm.
