November feels like a month that was just constant stress. While that can’t be actually true, I read less books than ever before and I’m actually 100% happy with that. It’s actually the trend that I should be moving towards especially as I think of 2022!
Books Read – 22

But if I read 22 books, how were my stats? Well I read 50% queer books and 48% POC MC books. That’s pretty damn great. I am OVER THE MOON with my queer stats and happy that it’ll help my overall yearly stats. I can’t even imagine how much work it is going to be to do my yearly stats. Please don’t remind me. I’m already dreading the favorites list and what not….

In terms of favorite books, they were all over the place! And three five star reads in the row above alone! In terms of YA books, I loved The Kindred, A Phoenix First Must Burn, Girls of Fate and Fury, and The Righteous. For adult books, I adored A History of Wild Places, The Second Rebel, and So Much for Love. In terms of romance I adored Weather Girl and for middle grade: Girl Giant and the Jade War.
Overall, while I read less, I wish it had been because I wanted to and not just because I was so busy. Especially at the end of November I ended up reading so little because I was so overwhelmed. When I’m thinking about taking it easy, it’s more of a choice not a necessity. You know what I mean?
