I feel like I blinked and March disappeared. And gosh March was a fantastic month for books. There were so many beautiful and emotional books. Let’s dive into it, shall we?
Week 1 – 3/6
The Poet X – the NOW NYT Bestseller! So exciting!
Inkmistress – I loved this better than Of Fire and Stars!
Daughters of the Storm – because we definitely NEED more books about sisters and swords – I am 100% serious
The Beauty That Remains – a really touching book about grief and friendship
Children of Blood and Bone – who hasn’t loved this book?!
The Unbinding of Mary Reade – I need to read more historical fiction!
The Midnights – such a lovely read and I was able to meet the author last month too!
Week 2 – 3/13
Patently Absurd – such a great companion novel full of lovely illustrations
Strangers – an ownvoices Native American YA novel that challenged just about ever boundary of the genre
Nothing Left to Burn – a novel that entirely shocked me in the best way. A review will be out next week for this one!
Week 3 – 3/20
Torn – I want all the books about seamstresses and revolutions
The Astonishing Color of After – one of the most hyped book for March for me, I now own two copies! AND recent NYT Bestseller too!
The Heart Forger – the thrilling sequel to The Bone Witch
And strangely, I didn’t have any books for 3/27. I felt that was some sort of weird joke, but it’s true! I didn’t read a single book that came out on 3/27.
