A Very ARC-ish Readathon: Round Up

I totally forgot this ended until I saw a different round up post. ANYWAY, the ARC readathon is done! If you don’t remember what I said, see the post. There were a few goals: get rating back above 80% and read all the ARCs on my list. So how did I do? Read onwards!

Netgalley

I was doing so well! I was above 90% because I did really well reading my ARCs, but then I requested a bunch more because where is even my self control? So now I am back above 80%, which was my goal, and at 85%! I am so thrilled, but also totally looking forward to my other ARCs that I requested. I was approved for Sovereign by April Daniels, Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust, Holding Back the Stars by Katie Khan, and the Slaves of the Switchboard of Doom by Bradley W. Schenck. Please save me. Not to mention I have sent 8 other requests….really.

Reading List

Here was my list:

  • Kokoro by Keith Yatsuhashi (Netgalley)
  • Fifth Petal by Brunonia Barry (First to Read)
  • The Book of Air by Joe Treasure (Publisher)
  • The Magician’s Lie by Greer Macallister (Netgalley)
  • The Shadow Crucible by Tamora Lakomy (Author)
  • A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi (Netgalley)
  • Life in High Def by Kimberly Cooper Griffin (Netgalley)
  • Outremer by D.N Carter (Publisher)
  • Last Lament by James William Brown (First to Read)
  • The Broken Bridge by Philip Pullman (Netgalley)

Not bad right? I only missed one, Outremer. Additionally I actually read more than this! I ended up finishing: Noteworthy by Riley Redgate, The Falconer by Elizabeth May, The Light We Lost by Jill Stanopolo, A Place Called No Homeland by Kai Cheng Thom, The Abscission Zone by Samuel Muggington, and The Windrunner’s Daughter by Bryony Pearce.

This was the reason I was able to get my rating up so high and catch up on my First to Read books.

Am I a reading monster? YES However, Am I motivated to read all these so I have absolutely ZERO work on my honeymoon? HELL YEAH.

Discussion

Are you good at stopping yourself from over requesting books? If so, please let me learn from you oh wise one.

  1. My Netgalley rating is in the dumps. I have to finish some books and post some reviews this weekend. Thanks for the reminder. You, however, are definitely a reading monster which is why I am hanging out with you because I, too, want to read all the books.

    1. Ugh I wish my Netgalley rating reflected my intent, not what I actually have done…Haha thank you 😀
