Sometimes I have trouble figuring out exactly which books will pad my Top Ten Tuesday post. But not this week. I feel this week I’ll have more than 10 favorite books of 2017. I am not looking forward to the end of the year wrap up. This list is in no particular order and divided by adult and YA (Because how could I not try to cheat this?).
- The Fifth Season by NK Jemisin
- Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant
- An Unkindness of Ghosts by River Solomon
- Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado
- An Unkindness of Magicians by Kat Howard
- Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
- Jade City by Fonda Lee
- The Nine by Tracy Townsend
- The Alchemists of Loom by Elise Kova
- The Tiger’s Daughter by K Arsenault Rivera
And for my YA favorites:
- The Reader by Traci Chee
- The November Girl by Lydia Kang
- Warcross by Marie Liu
- The Hollow Girl by Hillary Monahan
- The Girl from Everywhere by Heidi Heilig
- Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C Dao
- The Girl with the Red Balloon by Katherine Locke
- Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust
- Want by Cindy Pon
- Rebel Seoul by Axie Oh
Wow, even choosing 20 has been incredibly stressful. Like….wow I am not cut out for my yearly wrap up at all. Please save me.

I loved Warcross and Little Fires Everywhere I keep seeing good reviews for. Forest of a Thousand Lanterns is another one I may have to get to next year.
I would really recommend both! Little Fires Everywhere makes a nice change of pace 🙂
Nice lists! I am glad Girls Made of Snow and Glass made the top 10!
YES that was such a winner 😀
I’ve got Her Body and Other Parties on hold at the library…I think I’m 50 something-th in line so hopefully it should come in before 2019, haha. One of my favourite reads this year is When the Moon Was Ours.
YES that’s such a perfect one ^_^
