I am a longtime Talia Hibbert fan so I loved The Fake Boyfriend Fiasco. While I haven’t read the others in the series, this was so easy to get into and the spice was SPICY! Keep reading this book review of The Fake Boyfriend Fiasco for my full thoughts.

For millionaire footballer Nikolas Christou, one look is all it takes. The minute he sees Aria Granger, he’s a goner. Playboy Nik knows lust—intimately—but his need for Aria goes far beyond that. Of course, the plus-sized beauty isn’t interested in romance… but Nik isn’t interested in giving up.
Aria Granger has sworn off relationships for her own good. After all, her ex nearly murdered her best friend, so clearly her taste is questionable. When charming, gorgeous Nik bounds into her life, Aria can’t decide if he’s as innocent as he seems… or if her bullsh*t-ometer is broken.
The super-sweet sports star claims he needs a fake girlfriend to protect him from ‘misunderstandings’. And Aria, with her tattoos, piercings and dangerous scowl, fits the bill. But there’s no way a guy as handsome as Nik can be that bad at handling relationships. Can he?

(Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher. This has not impacted my review which is unbiased and honest.)
If you love a he falls first and a character who is SO DOWN BAD for the love interest, this is for you. The Fake Boyfriend Fiasco is like when a love at first sight character meets a skeptic with major sparks. The chemistry is unreal and I love the character development that Hibbert does. Both Nik and Aria have some soul searching to do. For Nik, he has a history of less than short relationships, so what happens when he wants this for real? And Aria has sworn off love based on so badly she was hurt before, but can she trust someone again and, more importantly, herself? While I felt like the character development was a tad skewed towards Aria, I am not complaining!

The Fake Boyfriend Fiasco has amazing spice and my heart broke for Aria as she worried about making the past repeat itself. All while Nik is barely holding himself back because he is DOWN BAD. I also love how while there’s ton of spice, there’s this gorgeous and slow build up of their emotional intimacy and how much they get to know each other. Talia Hibbert never misses and Rooke Kingston & Harvey Fuller were amazing narrators at the spice, the emotions, and sweeping us away! This is another amazing one that I loved and would read again in the future. Find The Fake Boyfriend Fiasco on Goodreads, Storygraph, Bookshop. org, Blackwells, & Libro. fm.
