We love the start of a small town romance series! I’ve read some of Chin’s previous books and so I had to read The Cozy Nook Bookshop. How could I resist a bookstore romance? Keep reading this book review of The Cozy Nook Bookshop for my full thoughts.
Summary

The Cozy Nook Bookshop is charming. It’s a story about re-invention and vulnerability. We can be so focused on running, that sometimes we confuse running from something and being drawn to something new. Emma and Hunter’s story is about taking the risk, realizing it’s never a mistake to open our heart, that the risk of loss is worth it. For Hunter, he’s so afraid of the loss, he can’t see that the joy makes it worth it. And for Emma she has been in escape mode, that she isn’t sure if she can trust her feelings, this new spark in her life. The Cozy Nook Bookshop has a precious premise and I can never turn down a grouchy outdoorsman meets a savvy social media user. I also love that this is clearly the start to a new small town romance series from Chin!

The Cozy Nook Bookshop allows Emma to learn to speak up for herself and for Hunter to realize we can’t push the world away. While I think the individual character growth was realized a bit hastily, I enjoyed this straight forward romance series starter. It feels classic and perfect for fall!
