Review: Eternally Yours edited by Patrice Caldwell

You ever see those book announcements and think, “this book is made for me”? That was me when I saw Eternally Yours. The author list is full of all of my favorites. It’s one of those books that was an easy buy before I even saw the cover. Keep reading this book review for my full thoughts.

Summary

Vampires and merpeople, angels and demons—the paranormal is full of unusual beings. The stories in this anthology imagine worlds where the only thing more powerful than the supernatural, is love.

Contributors include: Kalynn Bayron (Cinderella Is Dead); Kendare Blake (Three Dark Crowns); Kat Cho (Wicked Fox); Melissa de la Cruz (Blue Bloods); Sarah Gailey (When We Were Magic); Hafsah Faizal(We Hunt the Flame); Chloe Gong (These Violent Delights); Alexis Henderson (The Year of the Witching); Adib Khorram (Darius the Great Is Not Okay); Anna-Marie McLemore (When the Moon Was Ours, The Mirror Season); Casey McQuiston (Red, White, and Royal Blue; One Last Stop); Sandhya Menon (When Dimple Met Rishi); Akshaya Raman (The Ivory Key); Marie Rutkoski (The Winner’s Curse); Julian Winters (Running With Lions; Right Where I Left You)

Review

(Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher. This has not impacted my review which is unbiased and honest.)

First of all, I have been loving all these anthologies recently. And Eternally Yours feels seamless and cohesive. Revolving around the supernatural, this anthology celebrates both the fantastical with the power of love. It’s an anthology full of favorites and if you like any of these authors, you should 100% pick Eternally Yours up. Most of these authors are also in their fantasy element!

With any anthology there are stories I like more than others, but in general Eternally Yours is an easy recommendation. It’s perfect for paranormal YA fans, for those who love to diversify their bookshelves, and for established fans. As someone who’s been collecting the honor of reading my favorites, this was a must read. Find Eternally Yours on Goodreads, Amazon, Indiebound, Bookshop.org & The Book Depository.
