I think, for the first time in forever, I’ve read the least in the last two years in February. And I’m actually really proud of that. I have fallen behind in my schedule, but I’m starting to feel the fog of stress and anxiety lessen a little bit. Not a ton, but I’m making steps towards the right direction!
Books Read!
And this month I was a bit more picky about what I read, and it turned out so well! I’ve decided to be a little more critical about what I read and I’ve made this little reading rater for me in my spreadsheet. That being said, February had so many 5 star reads for me! I adored The Life and (Medieval) Times of Kit Sweetly, When You Were Everything, Harley in the Sky, Today Tonight Tomorrow! Look at all these contemporary books that absolutely WON this month!
I am, overall, so pleased also with the amount of romance books I was able to read and they were also so amazing! I finished the Forbidden Hearts series by Alisha Rai – who I’ve been a fan of since The Right Swipe – and they were amazing. Overall, it was a very contemporary leaning month and I’m not mad about that!
Charts!
Here’s my second edition of charts and I have a new one to share with you: my reading challenges chart!
As you can see I’ve done a lot with YARC, but also read a bunch of Backlist books too! Just so you know, there can be overlap within these categories. A backlist book could be that author’s debut and it could be both a YARC and SARC pick. Get it?
Those are little smaller, but you can still see the category breakdown. My reading this month went a lot into e-arcs – in fact you can see a photo of all the physical books I read this month – and it was a contemporary heavy month in general!
