Blog Tour: Small Town Hearts by Lillie Vale Guest Post

All the Small Town Hearts love! And today I have a very special Guest Post from Lillie!

Summary

Fresh out of high school, Babe Vogel should be thrilled to have the whole summer at her fingertips. She loves living in her lighthouse home in the sleepy Maine beach town of Oar’s Rest and being a barista at the Busy Bean, but she’s totally freaking out about how her life will change when her two best friends go to college in the fall.

And when a reckless kiss causes all three of them to break up, she may lose them a lot sooner. On top of that, her ex-girlfriend is back in town, bringing with her a slew of memories, both good and bad.

And then there’s Levi Keller, the cute artist who’s spending all his free time at the coffee shop where she works. Levi’s from out of town, and even though Babe knows better than to fall for a tourist who will leave when summer ends, she can’t stop herself from wanting to know him.

Can Babe keep her distance, or will she break the one rule she’s always had – to never fall for a summer boy?

Hi Lili! I’m so excited to be here on your blog today! This tour has been an amazing experience, one I’m so thankful for, and that’s in large part due to you! Thank you for managing and keeping on top of everything. You’re a rockstar.

Small Town Hearts is a messy BFF breakup + found family YA contemporary taking place in the summer after high school, the last summer 19yo bi baking barista Babe thinks she’ll have before her friends Penny and Chad start college in the fall. She has a somewhat co-dependent relationship with the people she loves, and change has never been a good thing, in her experience, so she’s trying to hold on tight during a time when she has to learn how to let go. Matters are further complicated when her ex-girlfriend Elodie returns to their sleepy Maine village of Oar’s Rest at the same time as a mysterious summer boy shows up to rent Babe’s mom’s cottage on the beach.

Oar’s Rest is the place that pretty much every reader wants to live, and since I loved every minute of world building this idyllic beach town, that is the coolest thing ever to hear! it’s pretty much now my goal to increase the town’s population one reader at a time. So I’m incredibly jazzed to share something that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, and that’s an Oar’s Rest itinerary!

Now, if you’re anything like me? You probably like some structure in your travel, but you also enjoy strolling around new cities, getting lost, discovering hidden gems off the beaten path, and just soaking everything up. The atmosphere. The sights. The smells (of food, hopefully not other, weird things lol). And Oar’s Rest is a supremely walkable town (that can also be enjoyed by bike!) where you could wander the warren of streets for hours exploring restaurants and shops and taking in all the sights. Ambling around a new place is one of my favorite things to do, and I tend to find that’s more fun when you “live like a local”.

So that’s what we’re doing today! I’m sharing an Oar’s Rest itinerary with all of Babe’s favorite places, and her recommendations for fun activities and all! the! food! Oar’s Rest is a perfect weekend destination, or, if you’re a creative in need of muse, maybe a whole summer? We have a thriving community here! It’s also a great spot for family vacations, group get-togethers, and romantic couple’s weekends.

Readers of Small Town Hearts will recognize a lot of things on here, and for those new to our beloved town, maybe this will entice you to drop by for a visit? We’d love to have you! We’ll probably be at Busy’s sipping our beverage of choice and munching on some of Babe’s yummy baked goods, so come join us! We’re not the dark side, but we do have cookies.[

About the Author

Lillie Vale, upon discovering she could not be one of Santa’s elves or attend Hogwarts, decided to become a writer to create a little magic of her own. Enjoying the romantic and eerie in equal measure, she’s probably always writing a book where the main characters kiss or kill. Born in Mumbai, she has lived in many U.S. states, and now resides in an Indiana college town where the corn whispers and no one has a clue that she is actually the long-lost caps lock queen. She is the author of Small Town Hearts.
