A big goal of mine for 2019 is to read more backlist books. 
This means books that aren’t new releases, or advance copies of books (which is a huge percentage of my books). To do this in 2019, I want to balance my reading out by reading 1/3 backlist titles, 1/3 current titles for upcoming reviews, and 1/3 further out releases. That way I can be excited for books in the future, keep on top of my reviews, and read old stuff. Hopefully on audiobook!
So when I saw Austine’s Beat the Backlist challenge, I knew I had to sign up. How many is my goal for 2019? I want to read 26 books (at least) that were all released in 2018 or earlier. This will be easy since a few of these are ones I should have reviewed last year….or books for my #backlistusom book club (a great way to read backlist books for this challenge)!

This intimidates me just looking at it. But hopefully I can find my inner strength and conquer this list? It’s about 2 a month. And most of these are audiobooks, so hopefully I can listen to them that way via Scribd. Are you going to join us?

I have sooo many books on the ‘backlist’ I want to read, and I slide them in every month…plus I keep accepting challenges for some bizarre reason.
