Review: Into the Mystic Vol. 2

When I received an email about a short story anthology of lesbian/bisexual paranormal stories I was eager to read it. In the collection are ten short stories that range in steaminess and some are explicit in nature. But what prompts my review is not the level of romance, but the intense attention to detail each of these stories commands. There are a range of paranormal identities from selkies, to wood nymphs, to werewolves, to witches, and even more. It is a feast for the paranormal, urban fantasy, romance lover. Additionally, each main character feels fully fleshed out. They don’t feel fall into the traps of romance novels or of short stories, instead immersing you in a small slice of their world. If any of the above genres interest you, then I highly recommend this anthology of steamy stories, and stories with positive representation of lesbian/bisexual identities (from what I can tell, as I don’t fall into either of these categories).

You can pick up Into the Mystic Vol 2 on Amazon(US) and add it to Goodreads.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from one of the authors.
