I am in love with everything Dungeons and Dragons lately. Dating and Dragons is no different. After Dungeons and Drama, I knew I wanted to read this next installment! Keep reading this book review of Dating and Dragons for my full thoughts.
Summary
Quinn Norton is starting over at a new high school and hopes that joining a D&D game will be the trick to making friends. The plan sounds even better when she’s invited into a group that includes Logan Weber, the cute and charming guy she met on her first day of class. But this isn’t your average D&D campaign— this group livestreams their games and enforces strict rules: no phones allowed, and no dating other group members.
Quinn is willing to accept the rules, even if it makes Logan off-limits. And she quickly learns that doing so won’t be a problem, since Logan goes from charismatic to insufferable as soon as she agrees to join. As their bickering—and bantering—intensifies inside and outside the game, Quinn can’t help wondering: Is Logan’s infuriating behavior a smokescreen for hidden feelings? Quinn is risking it all, and the twenty-sided dice are rolling!
Review
(Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher. This has not impacted my review which is unbiased and honest.)
If you’re an avid DND fan and love a cute contemporary story, Dating and Dragons is a must read. I was looking forward to reading Dating and Dragons every night. It’s a story about finding our support group, about being brave in love, and of living each moment to the fullest. With snippets of their campaign, Logan and Quinn have to distinguish the lines between real and fiction – their campaign and their daily lives. Can their characters in game get along? Or will the rising tension – and chemistry – between them destroy it all?

In Dating and Dragons, the side characters almost stole the show for me. I adored Quinn’s grandmother, talk about a woman with gumption! If you love a story of a family coming together, of them supporting each other, this is for you! It’s also a sweet story about friendship and opening up our heart to friends. We can be burned so badly in the past, we aren’t sure if we can be honest, if we can trust people not to leave at the first sign of trouble. But what if they stayed? The romance is precious. Logan and Quinn’s relationship is full of longing, will-they-won’t-they, and angst.
