I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com is a blast. If you love comical situations, some delicious spice, and banter this is for you. If you’re a fan of Lemming’s other books, then it’s a no brainer. I couldn’t stop laughing and finished this book way earlier than I expected because I was having so much fun. Summary

I loved to see Kimberly Lemming branching out into science fiction with I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com. Not only is the premise amazing, but Lemming builds on the ideas of being stranded – and abducted by aliens – and makes it hilarious. These aliens have decided to try to induce *ahem* breeding, they found these romcom tropes and, of course, chaos ensues. I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com is hilarious and truly brings the comical to the rom-com. You become transported to a new planet with dinosaurs, love serums, and more. It’s high entertainment, fast paced, and with some good spice.

At the same time, there’s also this tender vulnerability. For Dory she’s spent so long orienting herself towards her family’s expectations. So what happens when everything we thought we needed to do, disappears? What happens when this new world entirely is unlocked? There’s this curiosity and cleverness to Dory and I loved her internal narration. Absolutely all the side characters are delightful. There’s plenty of fantastic banter and laughs to be had all around and the series potential! I cannot wait for more!
