Part of what I love about a series ending, is that for new readers they can read all of the books at once. The Halfling Saga has come to an end. If you haven’t heard about the series, it all started with A Broken Blade. Today I’m going to share 10 reasons you should pick up the series today!
My 10 Reasons Why

- Questions of loyalty. Beginning working for the King, Keera’s allegiances are called into question as he has destroyed her people, but how will she enact her own revenge?
- Deals with addiction. Keera struggles over the course of the series with her addiction.
- Keera’s guilt. Throughout the series, she struggles with the guilt she feels working for the King, but also the responsibility she feels a leader.
- A world of Fae and elves. I enjoyed seeing the world and the other people in the world expand across all four books. We can see the different values and cultures within the book
- Is love a weapon to be used against us? Look, I know we see this theme all over the place, but it’s because it’s something we all struggle with. Is love just another way for others to hurt us? To exploit our weaknesses?
- Characters discovering and figuring out new powers. I will say no more because spoilers, but we love to see it!
- Is the loss of someone we love worth winning a battle? Under what circumstances do people become necessary sacrifices?
- You will be constantly on your toes. There are some BIG revelations and they are juicy.
- Asks whether we are a good leader and whether or not we can be one. Do our mistakes spell out the whole story?
- If we managed to make it through, what would come next?
