Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Books of 2017

Sometimes I have trouble figuring out exactly which books will pad my Top Ten Tuesday post. But not this week. I feel this week I’ll have more than 10 favorite books of 2017. I am not looking forward to the end of the year wrap up. This list is in no particular order and divided by adult and YA (Because how could I not try to cheat this?).

  1. The Fifth Season by NK Jemisin
  2. Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant
  3. An Unkindness of Ghosts by River Solomon
  4. Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado
  5. An Unkindness of Magicians by Kat Howard
  6. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
  7. Jade City by Fonda Lee
  8. The Nine by Tracy Townsend
  9. The Alchemists of Loom by Elise Kova
  10. The Tiger’s Daughter by K Arsenault Rivera

And for my YA favorites:

  1. The Reader by Traci Chee
  2. The November Girl by Lydia Kang
  3. Warcross by Marie Liu
  4. The Hollow Girl by Hillary Monahan
  5. The Girl from Everywhere by Heidi Heilig
  6. Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C Dao
  7. The Girl with the Red Balloon by Katherine Locke
  8. Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust
  9. Want by Cindy Pon
  10. Rebel Seoul by Axie Oh

Wow, even choosing 20 has been incredibly stressful. Like….wow I am not cut out for my yearly wrap up at all. Please save me.

  1. I loved Warcross and Little Fires Everywhere I keep seeing good reviews for. Forest of a Thousand Lanterns is another one I may have to get to next year.
