Review: The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman

This book combined all my big loves: libraries, books, dragons, and a fantastic heroine. It is an entertaining series that is not to be missed.

Summary

Some call what Irene does spying, burglary, or meddling. Irene calls it her job as a librarian. The Library is devoted to preserving rare books from alternate realities and her next mission might just be bigger than she can handle. With her new trainee Kai, she travels to a chaos infested London where she must retrieve a Grimm book of fairy tales. But as soon as they step foot in the world everything seems to be going wrong. First of all, the book is already stolen. And secondly, they aren’t the only ones looking for it. But can they retrieve it first? And what will it cost them?

Review

book review The Invisible Library by Geneieve CogmanUm, so this is a book about librarians. Let’s just let that sink in. Because it’s an amazing concept and while it drew me to the series, it didn’t lose my interest! There’s not only a genuine love of books, but there’s a fantastic hook that draws you into this magical world. Full of action, and with rich settings, The Invisible Library picks you up and doesn’t let go. Our main heroes are secretive and alluring, powerful and wise. I couldn’t be more in love with Irene, she’s such a firecracker! It is thrilling, and the mysterious plot keeps turning in on itself to reveal more hidden doorways. The conclusion is stunning and I cannot wait to get started on the next!

If you’re a fellow bibliophile, then grab a copy of this from your own magical library!

You can pick up The Invisible Library on Amazon(US), your local indie, and Goodreads.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this whole series in exchange for an honest review from the publisher.
