Review: But Not Up Here by RoAnna Sylver

This collection of poetry was exactly my cup of tea and more, transfixing me with the words and captivating me with its lyrics.

Review

These words of love, loss, and grief spoke to the nooks and crannies within my heart. Five numbered sections make up the collection and are titled after the five steps of grieving. (Acceptance was my favorite). The entire collection is my style: to the point, lyrical, and captivating. The words jumped off the space and conversed with my soul, dancing with my memories. The entire collection is mesmerizing and dizzying. There are a few interesting choices in the organization of the poems. There were times that I felt like I was reading echoes of my own thoughts and feelings. For these moments alone, I could love the poems, it does help that the rest of them are spot on as well!

Go pick up But Not Up Here on Amazon (US) and add it Goodreads. I am looking forward to starting her novel, Chameleon Moon now!

Disclaimer: I received this collection in exchange for an honest review from the author.
